Fundbox review: fast, small, and no longer publishing its prices
Up to $250,000, a decision in minutes, and a pricing page that now redirects to the homepage. That last part is the story.
What it is. A Dallas-based technology platform rather than a lender. Its footer states that it "makes capital available to businesses through business loans and lines of credit originated by First Electronic Bank or Lead Bank", and that Fundbox and its bank partners each apply their own credit policies. Note there are two bank partners, not one.
Its own description has shifted toward serving other companies: "Fundbox is an embedded capital platform for small businesses", offering partners "a fully white-labeled experience". The site is now organised around "For Platforms" and "For Businesses".
What it offers
A line of credit and a term loan, up to $250,000. No merchant cash advance, equipment financing, factoring or SBA.
Requirements
Almost nothing is published. The only stated requirement is "a business checking account with at least 3 months of transactions". Time in business, revenue and credit score thresholds are not on the site, and its help centre is behind a login. Figures circulating elsewhere, such as $100,000 revenue and a 600 score, could not be verified from Fundbox and we are not going to repeat them. A soft pull happens at application and a hard pull at your first draw.
Speed
Its strongest feature. Application in "3 minutes or less", a decision "within minutes", though it notes this can take "up to 24 hours or longer in some cases", and funds within two business days.
What it costs: it stopped saying
Fundbox publishes no rate, fee or APR anywhere on its website. Its pricing page now returns a redirect to the homepage, which we verified on 21 September 2026, and its product pages for the line of credit and term loans return not-found errors. The weekly-fee figures still quoted around the web come from that removed page through third-party caches and cannot be confirmed against a live source.
The only fee statement remaining is that there are no early repayment fees. It reports to the Small Business Financial Exchange, so borrowing here can build business credit.
Reputation
BBB: A+ rating but not accredited, with 27 complaints closed in three years. Affiliate sites claiming it has been BBB-accredited since 2014 are wrong. Trustpilot: 4.7 across roughly 4,600 reviews, although Fundbox's own homepage displays 4.8. Checked 21 September 2026.
We found no CFPB, FTC or state enforcement action. One private telephone-consumer class action was filed in 2017 in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; we could not verify its outcome.
Who it suits
- Small, fast needs. Minutes to a decision and two days to money is genuinely quick for a bank-originated product.
- Thin files. Three months of bank transactions is the lowest documented bar in this group.
- Building business credit, since it reports to SBFE.
Who it does not
- Anyone who needs to know the price before applying. You will not find it.
- Larger amounts. $250,000 is the ceiling.
- Anyone needing equipment, factoring or an advance.
All statements are from fundbox.com, BBB and Trustpilot, checked 21 September 2026, including a direct check that the pricing page redirects.
