Didi Taihuttu's five Bitcoin charts: the cycle signals he watches before changing strategy

Watch: The Bitcoin Family's Didi Taihuttu walks through the charts he says shape his approach, from moving-average crossovers to a midterm-election pattern. His levels, his words, and his reminder that he is not a financial adviser.

Didi Taihuttu of The Bitcoin Family opens his latest chart video with a big claim: "My entire Bitcoin strategy I\'m using today is based on these five charts." He keeps the news short and spends most of the time on screen with the charts. Watch the full video on YouTube; our Bitcoin Family page has more from the channel.

A note on the numbers: every price level below is what he quotes in the video, on the day he recorded it. They are not current market data and we have not tried to confirm them. They show how he reads the market, not where Bitcoin is now.

Chart 1: the three-day chart and a possible golden cross

On a chart where each candle covers three days, Taihuttu points to a base that he thinks may mark the bear-market bottom. He is candid about the doubt: he says he is "80%" sure it is the bottom and gives 20% to a false rally that makes a lower low. He watches a short moving average rising toward a longer one and expects an eventual "golden cross", the point where the faster average crosses above the slower. In his reading that cross has tended to arrive after the bottom and to confirm the new uptrend. He adds that a dip after the cross is normal, and names roughly $70,000 to $66,000 as an area where a higher low could form.

Chart 2: the five-day Gaussian channel and the monthly close

On the five-day chart he marks the top of a Gaussian channel, around $85,500, as resistance, with the midline near $77,000 and the lower band near $70,000. He then turns to the monthly candle, which he says closed at $83,563 after opening at $78,571, a green month. His key line is the 21-period moving average on the monthly chart, which he puts at $87,136. In his reading of past cycles, monthly closes above that line have gone with bull markets and closes below it with bear markets, so he calls a close above it "another confirmation".

Chart 3: crossovers that mark the bottom

On a monthly chart he shows two moving averages crossing, topping out and crossing back, and colours the phases: red for the start of the bear, yellow for the bottom, green for the confirmation that the bottom is behind. He counts about six candles between phases in the last two cycles and says the current cycle may be a month or three from the green stage.

Chart 4: transaction volume strength

This chart shades high transaction volume red and low volume green. Historically, cycle tops have sat in the red zone. He notes the market has touched the top zone this cycle without a euphoric peak, and compares it with earlier cases where Bitcoin then went sideways for three or four months and returned to the green zone. His conclusion is cautious: sideways or a modest correction is possible before the next leg.

Chart 5: the US midterm pattern

The last chart, which he says he found on X, marks past US midterm elections and shows Bitcoin falling after each of the four in its history. The next midterms fall on November 3, 2026. He is careful with it: you can enjoy a strong October, he says, but "prepare yourself" for a possible November drop. It is four data points, and he treats it as something to be ready for, not a certainty.

Extras, and how he uses them

He also shows the familiar market-emotion cycle, a quantile oscillator posted by another analyst, and a holder-size chart that ranks wallets by size, from "shrimp" to "humpback". On how he uses all this, his message is the long view. He says he keeps adding to Bitcoin "each and every day" through bull and bear phases, and zooms out to four, eight and twelve-year horizons. He gives personal long-range price views for 2029, 2033 and 2037, which we report as his opinion and not as forecasts.

Technical analysis is interpretation, not prediction, and moving averages and cycle patterns have failed before. Taihuttu says at the start that he is not a financial adviser and that this is his personal opinion on the charts, the news and life. He also mentions Dutch tax rules and invites viewers to his paid community; we have not assessed either.
