How to read a heatmap

• Size is weight. A big block is a big company, fund or pool. A 3% move on a giant block moves the market; the same move on a small one does not.
• Colour is the move, not the price. Dark green and dark red are the extremes of the day.
• Grey means flat. A screen of grey with two red blocks is a quiet day with one problem, which is a different story from a screen that is all red.
• Look at the sectors, not the names. One bad chip stock is a company story. A whole green or red sector is a market story.
