Who La'stacia Brown is
StacieJ Cares Private Caregivers (also styled Staci J Cares on its website) is a private, non-medical in-home care service based in west Houston, on Richmond Avenue. It is led by owner La'stacia Brown. Her company's site says she spent more than 20 years in medical work before starting the business, and that its caregivers help with bathing, dressing, bathroom needs, hair and nail care, light housekeeping, groceries, medication reminders and errands.
The service is built for families who want an elderly parent or spouse to stay at home: a few hours of company and help a week, overnight coverage, round-the-clock shifts, or a live-in caregiver. It also covers respite, so a family member who does the caregiving can get a break, and day-to-day support for people living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
Non-medical care means help with daily living, not nursing. Wound care, injections, IV therapy and other skilled tasks are done by licensed nurses or a home health agency, usually on a doctor's order. A good private caregiver works alongside that care, notices changes and tells the family.
