Bitcoin at $77,202, Ether at $2,277: crypto prices today, November 3, 2026
Bitcoin slipped to a 24-hour low of $76,239 and every coin we track except XRP is lower on the week, as a second suspected theft, $133 million from an EU entity, runs through Kraken, OKX and Crypto.com.
Bitcoin traded at about $77,202 on Coinbase early Tuesday, down 0.8% over 24 hours and 4.5% over seven days. Ether was at $2,277, down 0.3% on the day and 3.0% on the week. XRP is the only coin of the eight we track that gained on the day (+2.1%), and Solana and Cardano are again the weakest over seven days, down 8.3% and 7.6%.

Bitcoin tested lower than Monday
Bitcoin's 24-hour range on Coinbase ran from $76,239 to $78,022, a spread of about 2.3%. That low is below the $77,499 floor we recorded in Monday's report, so the market did probe lower overnight before recovering to $77,200. Nothing in the data points to forced selling, but it is the third straight morning of bitcoin sitting in the high $70,000s, about 27.6% under its November 2025 peak in the window of our chart.
A second theft, and the exchanges in the middle
Separate from the Binance hack we have been tracking, Cointelegraph reported that Kraken has restricted accounts linked to a suspected theft of more than $133 million from an unidentified European Union entity. Blockchain investigator ZachXBT put the losses at $106 million on Monday and raised the figure with another $27 million in withdrawals from centralized exchanges on Tuesday.
Kraken told Cointelegraph the incident "did not originate on the Kraken platform," that some of the assets were later moved through accounts there, and that it has restricted those accounts and is working with law enforcement. It said its systems and customer accounts were not compromised. Crypto.com said it has blocked funds tied to the incident, and OKX said it was looking into the matter. Bitquery reported that $62.98 million in stablecoins was converted into 27,553 ETH within about four hours.
Two things are unverified, and we are not treating them as fact: the identity of the victim, and ZachXBT's working theory that a large Western European financial institution was exploited and the matter is being covered up. Bitquery's tracking showed about $78.3 million still in wallets linked to the attacker as of Monday afternoon UTC, with only $3.74 million in USDC that Circle could freeze and $1.1 million in USDT already frozen by Tether. We found no evidence that this theft moved prices: Ether is down 0.3% on the day.
For the larger story, see yesterday's report, which covers the $6.3 billion Binance hack, the roughly $7 billion of net outflows from the exchange and the laundering through Solana.
Crypto stocks and ARK
Crypto equities fell on Monday. Coinbase closed down 3.98% at $137.83, Circle down 0.63% at $72.08 and Bullish down 5.7% at $22.54, Cointelegraph reported, citing Yahoo Finance. ARK Invest used the weakness to buy an estimated $9 million of Coinbase and $8 million of Circle across Friday and Monday while selling about $8 million of Bullish, according to its daily trade disclosures. That is one fund manager's positioning, not a read on the market.
Rates backdrop
The 10-year Treasury yield closed Monday at 4.91%, down from 4.94% on Friday, and the 30-year at 5.28% from 5.31%, according to the Treasury's daily yield curve. Yields have eased for a second session without lifting bitcoin. See the 10-year chart.
